DSO 2090 Oscilloscope Review

Finally I have bought my first oscilloscope. The DSO 2090 is a USB oscilloscopy without screen used with computer. I purchased it from site sales Dealextreme. Let's check again some specifications of the device:

1. Max. sample rate Realtime sampling: 100MS/s
2. Bandwidth 40MHz(-3dB), Single shot bandwidth:40MHz
3. Buffer size 32K samples
4. Channels 2
5. Voltage Range:
- 10mV ~ 5V/div @ x1 probe
- 100mV ~ 50V/div @ x10 probe
- 1V ~ 500V/div @ x100 probe
- 10V ~ 5000V/div @ x1000 probe
7. Timebase range 4ns/div ~1h/div( 1-2-4 sequence)
11. Impedance 1M ohm
15. Resolution 8Bit
16. Range 10 divisions
17. Pre/Post trigger 0% ~ 100%
20. Autoset Yes
22. Trigger level +/-4 divisions
23. Measurements: Vp-p, Vmax, Vmin, Vmean, Vrms, Vamp, Vhigh, Vlow, positive overshoot, negative overshoot, cycle mean, cycle rms, period, frequency, positive pluse width, negative pulse width, rise time(10% ~ 90%), fall time(10% ~ 90%), positive duty cycle, negative duty cycle
24. Cursor Time/frequency difference, voltage difference
25. Math Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
26. FFT.
27. Interface Universal Serial Bus(USB2.0)
28. Power No external power source required.
29. Calibration Signal Ouput 2V, 1kHz, Square Wave

I took some photos of the package when it arrived. Let's check what comes in it:

PHOTO01: The box of equipment.

PHOTO02: The equipment. I put this pencil only for comparision.

PHOTO03: In this picture we see three conections of DSO 2090. Channel 1, 2 and external trigger.

PHOTO04: At the back we have USB port connector. We see the CAL conector used for calibration and another conector for the Ground.

PHOTO05: The two probes in the package.

PHOTO06: Screwdriver for probes adjust. There are some colored identification rings.

PHOTO07: The probe conector. The details of Bandwidth, Capacitance and Impedance.

PHOTO08: The DSO 2090 Hantek Manual and USB cable with three connectors. I guess that the RED conector is for extra power supply.

These are the photos I have took. I forgot the CD that have the device drivers and software. I don't tested it enough but it looks very good for the most works. Let's see the screenshot.

The FFT function is the most interesting thing. We can see the discrete harmonic components and the graph in the frequency domain as showed in the next screenshot.

So, this was a great bought. I paid only 175$ for it. There are another thing that I want comment. In the CD there are a folder with SDK(Software Development Kit) for LabVIEW, Visual Basic and Visual C. If the original software don't have enough resources, you can design your own features.

    1. Oi amigo.
